I’m curious, I’ve been talking a lot to you, and not too many posts have been open ended. Recently I have been reading the e-mails that people have sent to me and it’s interesting to see why people are building a list.
So, I’d like to know what your goal is for building your newsletter list. Why are you wanting to grow it/start it. What do you want to achieve?
I had initially (thought I had) worked out a (flawless) way to have the service no longer using credits. Well, then I ran into some other issues to solve and after much stress and loss of sleep, I had come to the conclusion that I had to return to using credits. It’s not really any big deal so to speak, but since it isn’t what I wanted to do, it bothered me.
Anyway, so the system is back to using credits. Credits are used as credits for showing your newsletter across the system.
I’ll have more details on this later. There is some good news to all of this though… (finding the silver lining)… I am able to reward people better than I had planned before using credits.
My programmer for the testing version had in essence disappeared for about a week. I heard nothing. I didn’t know what was going on. I say in the title “worried”, but really, come to think of it, I was scared he had bailed on me. (I had a previous project with another programmer and he was working on the project for me, for 8 months and he bailed. Arrrgg.)
Anyway, it turns out he (the SubscriptionRocket.com programmer) had internet connection problems, etc. He has shown me the updates and we are heading in the right direction.
I’m sleeping better… 
Oh, yeah.. I had a different programmer work on the basic referral system. (More updates to the referral system coming.)
Okay, as you should know by now, the referral tool is up and available for those that would like to use it.
Those on the announcement list, your personal referral ID has been sent by e-mail. (You have to be on the announcement list in order to be able to refer people.) http://www.SubscriptionRocket.com
I have made a change since the (basic) referral system was put into place, you now use a number as your personal referral ID instead of your e-mail address. (With the e-mail updates I will send your referral ID so that it is easy to find.)
You are not required to promote SubcsriptionRocket.com, however those people that already are promoting it are having people connected to them as the referral, and that will be an advantage to them when the official launch happens.)
I plan on adding some more tools to the referral tools, some text links, video, etc. (Remember, all you have to do is cut and past the HTML onto your web site.)
It looks like I will have the tool up and going either late tonight, or early tomorrow morning.
